Everests Massage Therapy Program?

Author: admin1  //  Category: massage tampa

I’ve been trying to find the tuition rate for Everest’s massage therapy program (specifically in Tampa, Florida) but I haven’t had any luck. If you know for sure or have some type of educated guess it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The guy that answered previously is right, call the college and ask. I wouldn’t go to that school for Massage Therapy. See if you can find a local school, you will get much better attention from there (and most likely cheaper tuition) Just make sure they are accredited!!!!

any one have a portable massage table they want to sell?

Author: admin1  //  Category: massage table

i have just started massage school. i’ve been wanting to do this for years and now i’m there. but i really want a table so i can start practicing. my husband says i’m already alot better than i was. if anyone can help or give me some web sites that would be great. also any advice would be helpful.

I got my massage table at costco. It’s a Master Massage table and I am pleased with the quality, you can get it at the store or order from the web. Otherwise it’s difficult to recommend other brands of tables without actually seeing them or using them. You want to make sure they have enough padding, are light weight but are listed to hold plenty of weight ( the table I got was rated for 1500 lbs but only cost about $200.00).
As far as school goes, the best advice I can give you is work with everyone in your class. Teaming up with one person limits you so much. Learn from everyone and exchange alot.

URGENT What Certification is required to sell a massage chair in USA?

Author: admin1  //  Category: massage chair

I wish to export massage chairs to USA but am not sure what electrical (and other) certification is required, There are so many certifications that is hard to know, UL, CUL, ETL, FDA. EMC. FCC.
Please help this is an urgent question.

I retail massage chairs in the US and it would probably not be cool to call a competitor in the US, like Human Touch, but have you considered contacting a chinese manufacturing company about the certifications? Go to www.alibaba.com and type in "massage chairs" in the search field and a bunch of chinese companies will come up, many of which already ship their products to the US.

Hope this assists in some way.

Certified Massage Therapist vs Licensed Massage Therapist?

Author: admin1  //  Category: massage blog

I was thinking of going to school to become a massage therapist and had some questions. What is the difference between being a licensed massage therapist and a certified massage therapist? I know that a certificate is less schooling and cheaper but will I still be able to get decent work? And another question I had was being a male would it be harder for me to find work in this field? I asked this because I came across a blog about a guy who went to school for massage therapy and is now having a very difficult time finding work and he believes it’s because of his gender. Any feedback would help, 10 points to the best answer!

When you finish your massage therapy education you then certified. But you also need to get a license to be able to work. The criteria is dependent on which state you live in. My education took close to two years because i specialized in many modalities (clinical, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, trigger point etc.). Remember, the more modalities you know, the better the jobs are going to be. Male massage therapists may have a harder time in spas, but there are so many places you can work depending on what you are interested in. Hospitals, chiropratic offices, physical therapy clinics are all great places to work. Bottom line, the more educated and talented you are, the more successful you’re going to be regardless of your gender. Good luck!!
